A father's wise advice

I was watching Oprah earlier today and she was speaking with a father who only have a few more months to live. He has pancreatic cancer. Is that how its supposed to be spelt?

Anyways, he left an advice for his daughter, now 4yo. That when she eventually starts dating, "do not listen to what a guy says, but look at what he does".

Wise words indeed..

i DIDN'T fall !!!!~~

Wahahahahaha !!!~ I'm improving.

Wore it for about 5hours straight. Walked around IKEA, went for tea at a really nice cafe on Bridge Road that serves some of the best food I've ever eaten.

Then went walking along Bridge Street to lose off some of the newly gained calories before adjourning home.

As usual, I'm too lazy with the camera, so no photos. I basically gobbled everything down once it arrived.

Owh, a mochalatte at this sort of cafes, taste so much better. MmMmmmMm ~~

A day in a pair of 2 and a half inch heel..

... is absolutely painful.

Years and years of perfecting the art of walking in heels over my whole life is officially down the drain. Diminished with the fact that I've been wearing sport shoes or flats over the past 1 year+.

I can barely balance in a pair of heels anymore. I used to be able to walk along the road in a pair of 2 inch+ heels, given as a B'day present from Melody. Used to be able to climb 4flight of stairs at taylor's without breaking my leg or even feeling any cramps. Being able to walk a whole day in it. Even run in it !! And now.. NOTHING !!!~

Heels was basically one thing I could not live without.. I'm short !

Formal events, such as V'day or Anniversaries, would naturally see me in a pair of killer heels. But this year, I wore my very first pair of heels on V'day dinner and I almost fell over. I could barely walk, thank God the restaurant was near the parking lot. (Note: I've only worn 2inch+ heels twice over the past 15months)

But yesterday, was the creme de la creme. Mum bought me a pair of knee high 2 and a half inch heel leather boots (Not PVC). Have been searching for a pair of boots and I got it. Decided to wear it to uni and almost killed myself.

The lift wasn't working so I had to climb up to my floor. The boots were new, so it was kinda stiff. I could barely balance so I was clinging on for dear life, praying that I do not fall/trip/go tumbling down anywhere.

Towards, the end of the day, I slowly got the hang of it again. But while I was on the bus home, reached my stop and was about to get off the bus, I TRIPPED !!!~ Fell 2 stairs doen as a matter of fact. Bruised both my knees badly. Plus, the bus was full so just imagine how embarassing it was. Yikes !

Both my knees are officially swollen with a blue-black the size of..erm.. basically the whole knee has a blue-black. Haiz..

Today, I'm officially back in a pair of my good old trustees, my Timberland sneakers !! Guaranteed to never let me fall no matter how clumsy I am. I need a new pair of sneakers/sport shoes. Something similiar to my Timberland. They no longer stock this anymore. And I do not fancy Adidas's design. Don't like anything with a round tip or has holes around it.

Melody~~ I'm disappointing you, aren't I? I can no longer be your high heeled buddy anymore. Hehe.

Maybe I'll wear it when I don't have to walk much.. ^^
